Take Her Advice
ELIZABETH TO JAN: Take a deep breath.
JAN TO ELIZABETH: Mom taught me to buy timeless, not trendy.
We Wore it Best
JAN: Elizabeth lends me her jewelry all the time. I mix it with estate pieces and some vintage costume pieces. ELIZABETH: A vintage '90's Prada dress that Mom got in Paris. It's very architectural and I love the deep aubergine color. I wore it to Art Based in Miami in December.
Girls' Night Out
ELIZABETH: We always have memorable nights out on our trips to New York together. It's me, my mom and my sister Susanna, who lives in Houston. This year, we went to La Grenouille and ended up sitting next to Martha Stewart! Another memorable night was during last year's trip. Mom came over to our hotel room at The Carlyle, and we ordered room service and watched The Hangover. Yes, you heard it, my mom liked The Hangover!
If People Confuse Us, It's Because...
JAN: We are both designers so people often mix us up. They're always saying to me, 'Oh, you're the wonderful jewelry designer!'
